WLV Sport is part of the Institute of Human Sciences situated in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing and provides physical activity and sports provision for students, staff and the local community on behalf of the University of Wolverhampton.

The University has recently been approved as a TASS Delivery Site and will move to implementation from September 2021. We are seeking to appoint an individual with an interest in performance sport to coordinate the TASS Delivery Site and support other areas of the performance sport programme within WLV Sport and the wider university.

You will have experience in the coordination and administration of sport programmes and possess the ability to develop systems and processes. Furthermore, it will be a key responsibility for you to ensure that the university meets the minimum operating standards of the TASS Delivery Site to ensure compliance and continuation of the accreditation.

While in post, you will be supported to undertake the Talented Athlete Lifestyle Support Award and UK-Anti doping courses to become a lifestyle practitioner, taking a lead on delivering lifestyle support to all athletes and associated hubs as part of the delivery site.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a driven and creative University to make a real difference to the future of sport and the community it serves. For further information and an informal conversation regarding the role, please contact James Dale:  James.dale@wlv.ac.uk

The University of Wolverhampton celebrates diversity and recognises that difference brings value to our organisation.

As part of our commitment to ensure the diversity of staff body reflects the diversity of the student and local communities we serve, we particularly welcome applications from candidates of Black, Asian, or Ethnic Minority heritage, and candidates who are Disabled (including people who whilst not self-defining as disabled do encounter challenges due to a society that disables them by lack of inclusivity).

We are proud to have been awarded Disability Confident employer status, included in the Stonewall list of employers and are working towards improving our practices against Athena Swan and the Race Equality Charter. We believe in creating an even playing field for all our colleagues, where we can all belong.
