WLV Sport is part of the Institute of Human Sciences situated in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing and provides physical activity and sports provision for students, staff and the local community on behalf of the University of Wolverhampton

WLV Sport delivers a comprehensive sports programme to students, staff and community which spans participation, competition and elite sport. The University also participates in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) to which we currently enter two men’s football teams.  Alongside this, the University has its own football team in the Total Motion Midland Football League, Division 3, supporting our students to compete at all levels of the performance pyramid.

We are seeking to appoint a Performance Coach (Men’s Football) to deliver coaching and support for a variety of services as part of WLV football programme. The Performance Coach (Men’s Football) will work under the remit of the Head of Football and will deliver the technical and tactical aspects of the coaching programme. Furthermore, the Performance Coach (Men’s Football) will lead the men’s 2nd team in the BUCS leagues (Wednesday afternoons) and be the assistant coach/team manager in the MFL division 3 side.

The University has high ambitions for football in both the university leagues and MFL, therefore, we require a committed and enthusiastic individual who can help assist in the development of the football programme to achieve our ambitious targets.
