Our mission is to support students: enhancing student satisfaction; improving student progression, retention, achievement and employability.

 

Student Support & Wellbeing is a multi-disciplinary team covering Disability and Inclusion; Mental Health and Wellbeing; multi-faith chaplaincy; Funding and Financial advice; and, support for students in or leaving care or who are estranged.

 

Based within the Student Support and Wellbeing Department, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and collaborative manager of disability services to lead our Disability and Inclusion Teams. You will have a strong track record in the development of inclusive teaching, learning and assessment practices and a sound understanding of the needs of disabled students in HE.

 

You will have outstanding communication skills as you lead the continued transformation of our disability provision at the University. You will take a proactive role in shaping and supporting your team as well as having a key role in our ambitious integrated institutional approach to the delivery of outstanding student support across the University. You will be experienced in the use of data as a tool to measure and shape practice.

 

The role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and delivery of staff training. The training will raise staff awareness and confidence in supporting inclusive practice to meet the needs of disabled students and will underpin our University wide approach that all staff have a role to play to support the inclusion of our students.
