Assistant Faculty Registrar (Academic)

 

Faculty Administration provides an integrated and high-quality professional service to applicants, students and staff across the University.  You will be based within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.  The Faculty is a dynamic learning community committed to enhancing the quality of education for students locally, nationally and internationally.

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated leader with proven leadership experience who can be resourceful, has the ability to work independently as well as within a senior team and is able to work collegiately with colleagues.

 

Reporting to the Faculty Registrar the Assistant Faculty Registrar (Academic) is responsible for a wide and diverse team enhancing the academic and student lifecycle within the Faculty whilst providing high level advice and guidance to the Senior Management Team. The Assistant Faculty Registrar (Academic) is expected to contribute to Faculty strategies and initiatives related to the student experience and to contextualise and operationalise the aims of the Faculty.

 

To be successful in this post you should have:

 

  • Experience of staff management including recruitment, performance management, appraisal and development.
  • The ability to work in a challenging environment, adapt to changing priorities and timescales and meet deadline.
  • A sound understanding of policy, regulations and national codes of practice, including quality assurance, and the implications of non-compliance.
  • Proven capability to identify problems, offer solutions and develop and implement good practice, with the ability to monitor and evaluate statistical reporting, recognising and communicating trends and anomalies to a wide audience.

 

Experience of working within stipulated regulations and procedures is essential as is experience of working with internal and external stakeholders from a range of cultural backgrounds.
