We are looking for a Graphic Designer with professional experience to help lead the delivery of our high performing, central creative design service for the University of Wolverhampton.
About the Role
Based in the central External Engagement directorate, you’ll be responsible for shaping and meeting creative briefs from internal clients and account managers to produce brilliant design for marketing campaigns, print and digital assets.
You’ll design high-end marketing, communication and recruitment assets for a range of audiences and purposes, including national and global campaigns, prospectuses, programmatic advertising, CRM communications, social media, brochures and signage. Working frequently with senior stakeholders, and presenting concepts on occasion, you’ll always try to take an innovative and proactive client-focused approach, driving new ideas forward for best practice when possible.
The role sits within the busy Digital and Creative Services team, which produces over seven hundred copy and design jobs per year, and you will need to be used to thriving within in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The position is one of three design roles, sitting alongside two copywriters, two web developers and four event specialists in the team.
As one of the University’s senior designers, you will help ensure all university marketing materials follow best practices, whilst protecting the integrity of you act as custodian of the University brand.
You will be an experienced and talented graphic designer, ready and eager to take a lead role in the creative direction of a large higher education institution. With experience producing professional design for corporate clients either in an in-house, freelance or agency-side position.
Proactive and able to manage your workload, you’ll be used to meeting deadlines of creative briefs quickly and efficiently, whilst juggling competing demands from multiple account managers. Working with the rest of the team, you will be able to manage your time, stakeholders and priorities effectively to meet client needs whilst remaining calm under pressure.
You’ll know that digital technology never stands still, and will be used to experimenting with and learning new technologies as part of your commitment to continual professional development.
