Lecturer in Psychology
Psychology at the University of Wolverhampton is thriving. We are completing new versions of our BSc Psychology programmes, have launched a portfolio of online MSc courses, and have a thriving cluster of Doctoral degrees. Our team have a strong focus on student support through high quality blended-learning, an applied curriculum, and career focused assessments.
We offer degree programmes at every level, including:
- Four BSc programmes: Foundation year, BSc Psychology, BSc Psychology with Counselling, and Psychology (Criminal Behaviour);
- Three on-campus MSc programmes: Cyberpsychology, Forensic and Investigative Psychology , and Occupational Psychology.
- Four fully-online MSc programmes. MSc Psychology (Conversion), MBA Psychology, MSc Organisational & Business Psychology, MSc Psychology of Mental Health & Wellbeing.
- Two Doctoral routes: Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (BPS accredited, & HCPC approved), and PhD in Psychology.
Our team have received commendations for our quality of teaching, our authentic assessment strategy, and performance in research. We have a strong research focus with four active research clusters, and a community research clinic supporting novel projects. The team environment is supportive, encouraging, and emphasises staff wellbeing throughout the academic career path.
What we are looking for
We are seeking appointees to bring experience of delivering high quality teaching and research dissemination. The teaching role comprises a variety of specialist topics, teaching methods, and creative approaches to learning. You will be supporting students through personal tutoring, supervising BSc, MSc, and doctoral research.
Who we are seeking
We are keen for a new Lecturer to join the team on a permanent full time contract. You will need be able to teach a broad range of the BPS core modules, and contribute to the research portfolio of the department. We have a specific interest on those with a Health Psychology specialism, with a view to expansion of our MSc provision in this area. Applications from other specialisms are most welcome, and we would be keen to embrace creativity in our mission to create opportunities in Psychology education.
