Senior Lecturer in Social Work Housing and Social Care
This is a great opportunity for someone already working in academia who is also an experienced Social Worker, Housing or Social Care practitioner and wishing to develop their career, or someone wishing to progress their career into academia.
We are recruiting a Senior Lecturer in Social Work, Housing and Social Care as part of our growth, development and enhancement of our courses. A PhD higher degree and research experience are preferred. Social Work lecturers will be registered with Social Work England. This is an amazing opportunity to be in on the ground with a brand new development, registered with CIH, developed with local employers, in the City in which the Ministry of Housing is coming.
You will be experienced, innovative and full of enthusiasm for social care and social work and keen to impart your knowledge, love of excellence and inclusive practice to students. We are particularly interested to hear from applicants with experience in the Housing Sector and hold Chartered Institute Housing (CIH) membership. You will undertake the role of Senior Lecturer and work across our range of courses and developing areas in the Institute of Society and Community.
This is an exciting time to join the Institute of Society and Community at the University of Wolverhampton. You will be part of a diverse, dynamic team working principally across the areas of housing, but may also contribute to our social work or social care programmes. You will be keen to work closely with our external partner agencies. We are developing our provision and will be growing our work with employers to enhance student’s academic and work based experiences, ensuring a range of creative and innovative opportunities.
