The role of Faculty Registrar is a senior position working within the Faculty Executive Team to have strategic and operational oversight of all faculty activities.
The Faculty Registrar is responsible for the provision of professional managerial guidance to set high quality professional services and administrative support across the Faculty and for setting and maintaining policy and student lifecycle administration.
As a member of the Faculty senior management team, the Faculty Registrar has shared responsibility for developing and delivering the Faculty academic vision and strategy, ensuring consistency with University vision and strategy. In relation to strategic and other initiatives the Faculty Registrar has particular responsibility for project initiation, delivery and benefits realisation.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic leader with proven leadership experience who can be resourceful, who has the ability to work independently as well as within a senior team, and is able to work collegiately with colleagues.
You will report directly to the Dean of Faculty. Responsible for advising the Dean, ensuring robust and effective governance, compliance and resource allocation in support of the Faculty’s objectives, delivering service excellence across the student lifecycle. You will work closely with the Dean’s Advisory Group and Faculty Senior Management Team in an advisory capacity in order to support Faculty strategic objectives. You will be expected to lead on key Faculty projects and to represent the Faculty at key University committees and groups. You will hold a first degree or equivalent qualification and have significant proven experience at a senior level as a leader of administrative teams in a complex organisation. You are required to demonstrate evidence of significant financial acumen, managing projects, developing and implementing strategy and policy and managing change.
Experience of working within stipulated regulations and procedures is essential as is experience of working with internal and external stakeholders from a range of cultural backgrounds.
