Lecturer in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
An exciting opportunity for a Counselling or a Clinical Psychologist to join an established counselling team within the Department of Psychology at the University of Wolverhampton. We offer a challenging, vibrant and friendly place to work and you will join an experienced and supportive course team, passionate about empowerment in mental health. We have ambitions to drive forward an inter-disciplinary approach to counselling training, provision and research through the further development of our Psychology Community Research Clinic, our community and charity partnerships, the NHS and the wider university.
You will have expert knowledge of clinical and/or counselling and psychotherapy theory, including experience of working in applied settings. You should be a member of a UK professional counselling body (e.g. BACP or UKCP), registered with the HCPC registration as a ‘Practitioner Psychologist’ and engaging in regular professional development in line with the ethical guidelines of that professional organisation. We particularly welcome applicants with expertise in child and family therapy and those with a significant drive to develop inter-disciplinary expertise in counselling provision and/or research.
The University of Wolverhampton values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
