Lecturer in Midwifery
The University of Wolverhampton is looking to recruit three qualified midwives with clinical and educational experience to join our thriving and highly committed midwifery team. You will be required to support the delivery and enhancement of our pre and post-registration midwifery courses and contribute to the expansion of placement capacity within maternity services at local and regional levels.
You will have a high level of insight into contemporary midwifery practice and experience in practice-based education and should ideally have experience in supporting pre-registration students and early career midwives, have undertaken teaching within a higher education environment and should possess strong evidence of continuing professional development related to your current role.
One of three University faculties, the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing has over 500 staff members and 11,000 students. The Faculty comprises a wide and diverse range of subject areas, research and knowledge exchange activities, organised through four Institutes; the Institute of Human Science, the Institute of Health, the Institute of Community and Society and the Institute of Education.
The Institute of Health, within which midwifery is situated, comprises a number of professionally qualifying health care courses as well as professional development courses and courses in public health and health studies. The Institute is experiencing significant growth and investment and in order to fulfil our aims and contribute to our continued success you will need to be adaptable, innovative and creative.
