Lecturer in Musical Theatre
Temporary part time 0.5fte post until 31st May 2021 to cover a period of maternity leave
The School of Performing Arts at the University of Wolverhampton is seeking to make a number of fixed term appointments (to cover staff maternity leave) to support its core provision. Housed in the state-of-the-art Performance Hub on our Walsall campus, the School offers a wide portfolio of courses and has strong links with industry. We are committed to providing an excellent student experience and suitable candidates will be expected to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for teaching, with the desire to support students to fulfil their potential and realise their career ambitions.
We are looking to appoint a part-time member of staff to contribute to the subject area of Musical Theatre.
You will possess a Masters degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent. You will be an excellent teacher with a higher education teaching qualification and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
You will make a significant contribution to teaching in the subject area, working collaboratively with subject colleagues, and have a clear focus on meeting the needs of our students. Demonstrable, active engagement with industry networks would be desirable.
You will be required to teach modules related to; acting, technical theatre, contemporary musical theatre, marketing and to supervise final year Project students.
