We are looking for a talented and diligent individual to help deliver a high quality, high performing copywriting service to the University of Wolverhampton.
About the Role
Based in the External Engagement directorate, you’ll be responsible for interpreting creative briefs from internal clients and account managers to produce brilliant copy for print and digital channels.
You’ll write and edit marketing copy for a range of styles, audiences and purposes, including prospectuses, advertisements, website content, blog posts, display stands, award nominations, key speeches for senior leaders, CRM communications and large-scale print. All the time taking ownership over the ‘voice’ of the university, ensuring all collateral is written in adherence with corporate style guidelines.
The role sits within the Digital and Creative Services team, which produces six to seven hundred copy and design jobs per year. The position is one of two copywriter roles, sitting alongside three graphic designers, two web developers and three event specialists in the team.
You will be an enthusiastic and client-focused copywriter, with experience in producing copy and online content for corporate clients either in an in-house, freelance or agency-side position.
Flexible, you’ll be able to prioritise your workload in order to meet creative brief deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities and competing demands from internal and external clients. You will be used to managing your time, stakeholders and priorities effectively to meet client needs whilst remaining calm under pressure.
You’ll know that digital technology never stands still, and will be used to experimenting with new approaches as well as generating content plans.
