The University of Wolverhampton Business School is seeking to appoint a Reader in International Business


The post of Reader in International Business plays a key role in the leadership of a research cluster within the Business School’s Management Research Centre. You will be required to lead the established International Business research cluster supporting doctoral candidates and ECRs as well as making a significant contribution to the research environment including REF and KEF.


You will also be expected to contribute to the delivery and management of the portfolio of modules and courses in the area of International Business which are housed in the Department of Finance, Accounting, Systems and Economics.  Amongst the courses currently covered are: the Dynamics of Multinational Companies and Debating Globalisation at Undergraduate level plus International Business Environment at Postgraduate level. In addition to PhD supervision you will also be expected to supervise dissertation students at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.


Established more than 80 years ago and located within the Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Wolverhampton Business School offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. We also run a very successful doctoral programme, Executive Education and Professional programmes. We have a strong track record of engagement with business and knowledge exchange activity including KTPs and innovative developments in the field of degree apprenticeships.  Our strong industry links are reflected in our approach to research which focuses on the pursuit of rigorous and relevant applied management research.


Following a period of sustained success in recruitment, student satisfaction and business engagement, the Business School has recently completed a £19 million investment in its facilities. In the last REF, 79% of our research was judged to be of internationally recognised standard and higher. The University is committed to investments to further enhance the School’s research.
