The University of Wolverhampton Business School is seeking to appointment a new Professor. The purpose of the role is to make a sustained and significant contribution to a wide range of activities including research, income generation, teaching and knowledge exchange. The post will be based within the Management Research Centre and will lead or co-lead a research cluster to further enhance our research environment. You will also need to make a significant contribution to a successful outcome of any periodic research assessment exercise e.g. REF through research outputs and impact case studies as well as a track record of successful PhD supervision. The post is vital to our local, regional, national and international engagement in research, impact and enterprise development. 

 

The Management Research Centre is multidisciplinary so we welcome applications from qualified candidates in any field of Business and Management, and we are particularly interested to hear from candidates with a track record of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary working. Candidates with knowledge and experience of digital innovation would be at an advantage.

 

Located within the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences, the University of Wolverhampton Business School offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as a very successful doctoral programme. We have a strong track record of engagement with business and knowledge exchange including innovative developments in degree apprenticeships and executive education.  Our strong industry links are reflected in our approach which is focused on the pursuit of rigorous and relevant applied business and management research.

 

Following a period of sustained success in recruitment, student satisfaction and business engagement, the Business School has recently completed a £19 million investment in its facilities.  In the last REF, 79% of our research was judged to be of internationally recognised standard and higher.

 

We seek to appoint scholars that share our mission to deliver high quality research that has relevance for practice, that will underpin our curriculum and develop our community of early career researchers and PhD students.
