We are seeking to employ an experienced Director of Global Opportunities to lead our newly formed Global Opportunities Office. The University of Wolverhampton (UoW) has recently approved a new Internationalisation Strategy, focusing on increased student recruitment, and Transnational Education Partnerships. As a consequence, we have created a new Global Opportunities Office, including an expanded international recruitment team. This post is pivotal in the University’s drive for growth in key markets and will significantly strengthen the international recruitment and partnerships teams at the University of Wolverhampton.

You will be responsible for the implementation of key elements of the new strategy, managing a newly formed team of staff based within the Global Opportunities Office.  This is an exciting position for an enthusiastic and experienced international professional with an ambition to lead a step-change within the University.

You will provide leadership and direction, implement and monitor international recruitment plans, and operate to stretching targets for growth in international recruitment and partnerships. You will have an opportunity to shape the university’s approach to international activities.

You will need to have substantial experience of working in international student recruitment, with a strong track record of success in recruiting international students, and of supporting international partnerships. You must have excellent communication skills, strong cultural awareness, an ability to lead and develop a team, and a willingness to travel overseas frequently.

For an informal discussion please contact Alice Wilby, Director of Recruitment and Partnerships, on a.wilby@wlv.ac.uk
