The Directorate of Student and Academic Services overarching aim is to deliver excellent academic support in collaboration with the University community and University partners. It has over 200 staff covering a variety of customer facing, professional, technical and academic roles.
We are offering a great opportunity to join our team of Information Assistants within an innovative and user-focused Directorate. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven experience in the delivery of high quality customer services, and a commitment to customer care that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations. Our team takes pride in providing the best possible user experience, for our students and academic staff throughout our Library and virtual learning spaces.
You will be based at the Hutchison Library at our Telford campus, where you will utilise your excellent customer service skills to provide a welcoming and supportive learning environment for all of our library users. You will use information finding expertise to support users to understand and make use of a wide range of library services. You will also use your excellent communication skills to help resolve library information related enquiries via phone, email and our online chat, ASSIST.
You will put the students experience first and work collaboratively with them and other stakeholders in order to facilitate continuous improvement of our services.

If successful you will work a 37 hour week, be based in Telford but will be required to work at any of our campus libraries. Evening and weekend working may be required.
