The University of Wolverhampton has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to deliver a ‘Composites & Additive Layer Materials Engineering Research & Innovation Centre’ (CALMERIC), alongside our School of Engineering on the Telford Innovation Campus. The CALMERIC project supports small companies (SMEs) based within the Shropshire and Staffordshire counties to carry out research & innovation projects in the field of advanced engineering materials, in collaboration with specialist staff and resources in the Centre.

You will be responsible for carrying out research and innovation activities in the CALMERIC centre, under the supervision of specialist technical and academic staff within the School of Engineering.  You will carry out research work that enables the SMEs to develop products that incorporate advanced materials and will also have the opportunity to register for a PhD award, with partial waiver of fees by the University.
