Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science (Cellular Pathology)

Within the School, the Department of Biomedical Science and Physiology delivers high quality teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes offering integrated placement year opportunities in research, medical and commercial settings. The Department of Biomedical Science and Physiology delivers a highly successful portfolio of IBMS accredited Biomedical Science courses, and as such, we seek to appoint a full or part-time Senior Lecturer/Practitioner in Cellular Pathology. You will possess the depth and breadth of knowledge to contribute to teaching, research and assessment on the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science award, and related programmes, and will preferably be registered with the HCPC. You should have a first degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline and either a Masters or a PhD or significant professional practice experience in Cellular Pathology. You will demonstrate an interest in developing pedagogic strategies which will complement or enhance teaching and learning within the Faculty, and will contribute significantly to the pedagogical development of our Biomedical Science programmes, as well as contributing to placement selection/assessment activities, ensuring high quality, supervised experiential learning during the degree. Good communication and organisational skills are essential attributes.
