Deputy Student Records Manager Fees and Funding
The Student Records Unit was responsible for the collection of £93,533,165.64 from the SLC in 2017/8, processing over 13,000 SLC students. We also manage 21 UK Graduation ceremonies, across the year for approximately 4,000 graduates.
Due to the range of areas covered by the Student Records Unit, enrolment, fees, invoicing, bursaries and scholarships, data management and assurance, the department has two deputy Managers who oversee the day to day running of the Student Records Unit Team which comprises of 9 members of staff. Responsible to the Unit Manager, the Deputy will ensure the Unit delivers a high quality, efficient and effective service to students and faculty staff and will be required to liaise with external agencies such as Student Finance England (SFE), Student Loans Company (SLC), Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and Higher Education Degree Datacheck (HEDD) as well as directly with students and faculty staff at all levels.
You will need substantial experience of working in an administrative environment within a multi-functional team, and have proven competencies to work successfully with staff at all levels across an organisation to achieve results, work effectively both independently and as a member of a team and meet objectives and deadlines.
The ability to understand complex legislation and insure our policies and documentation is maintained and communicated effectively via training and digital platforms.
