Wolverhampton School of Sciences is a newly-established School within the Faculty of Science & Engineering. Within the School, the Department of Biomedical Science & Physiology delivers high quality teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes offering integrated placement year opportunities in research, medical and commercial settings. The Department of Biomedical Science and Physiology delivers a highly successful portfolio of courses related to Healthcare Science that are accredited by the National School for Healthcare Science and the Registration Council for Clinical Physiology (which incorporates the SCST).

 

We have also recently developed a higher Apprenticeship in Healthcare Science, and as such we seek to appoint a full or part-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Practitioner in Healthcare Science (Cardiology). You will possess the depth and breadth of knowledge to contribute to teaching and assessment on the BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science (Cardiology), and related programmes, as well as leading the Healthcare Science Higher Apprenticeships we have on offer within the school. You should have a first degree or equivalent in a related discipline and either a Masters or a PhD or significant professional practice experience in Cardiology. You will demonstrate an interest in developing pedagogic strategies which will complement or enhance teaching and learning within the Faculty, and will contribute significantly to the pedagogical development of our Healthcare Science programmes, as well as coordinating and directing healthcare science-related placements ensuring high quality, supervised experiential learning during the degree. Good communication and organisational skills are essential attributes. Interviews are likely to take place during mid to late August.
