The University of Wolverhampton’s ambition is to be a progressive and influential sector leader, championing diversity, growth, and creating life chances for all while enhancing economic impact and accelerating ambition across the entire University community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic thinking Business Partner to join our Human Resources team on our journey of improvement, to provide a service to a portfolio of Faculties and Corporate Services Departments.

As our new HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in developing and supporting the leadership of the Human Resources team. We aim to provide a modern, fit for purpose Human Resources function; promoting a quality performance culture throughout the University.

A CIPD qualified HR professional, you will be experienced in providing strategic and operational HR advice / guidance at all levels. You will work in collaboration with senior managers and academic leaders to shape, guide and support the planning and delivery of effective people practices.

You will be a highly credible, accomplished relationship builder, able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders and deliver commercially driven advice. The role will involve both complex case work and advising on multiform change programmes in a unionised environment so you will have a proven track record in successfully applying employment law and good practice in this respect, with the ability to upskill and develop line managers.
