Social Media Coordinator
We require a confident, proactive and talented individual to develop highly engaging digital content for the University of Wolverhampton’s corporate social media channels, consistently ranked amongst the top performing UK university social media channels.
As well as brimming with ideas for engaging social media content, you’ll be experienced in capturing, editing and producing engaging video content for digital distribution. You’ll also have a keen sense for customer service, as you take primary responsibility for managing social media enquiries, and actively engaging with our social audiences.
Working with the Digital Content Editor, you’ll be responsible for producing rich digital media content, helping to manage our main social media channels, producing on-screen content for digital displays around the university, and managing enquiries as part of the Course Enquiries Unit (one day per week of the role).
You’ll design digital screen content around the university to a high professional standard and in-line with internal communications campaigns. This is a busy role across a number of key internal and external communications channels, and the primary resource for in-house video production (primarily for social) within the University’s External Relations department.
With existing social media and video production skills, and an understanding of what drives engagement within a higher education setting, you will be confident enough to collaborate with staff at all levels around the university. This might include interviewing senior members of staff, students and VIPs on-camera, and working flexibly and responsively to internal client needs.
