Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Immunology
Wolverhampton School of Sciences is a newly-established School within the Faculty of Science & Engineering. Within the School, the Department of Biomedical Science & Physiology delivers high quality teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes offering integrated placement year opportunities in research, medical and commercial settings. Biomedical Science Research is carried out in the newly opened £25 million pound Rosalind Franklin Research Facility, a purpose-built laboratory block which houses teaching laboratories and research facilities. The School of Biomedical Science & Physiology is an active and expanding area within the University and we are seeking to appoint a lecturer/senior lecturer in Immunology.
You will make an extensive contribution to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching on our well-established, highly successful IBMS Accredited BSc and MSc programmes in Biomedical Science. You will also either have evidence of being able to deliver research outcomes that will contribute to the REF, whether by undertaking independent research with the capability of attracting support or by engaging with one or more of the successful research groups that form part of the School’s research portfolio, or by demonstrating extensive experience as a Biomedical Science Practitioner, in a managerial role. You will have a minimum of a good honours degree and a higher degree or equivalent professional qualifications, in an area related to Immunology. Good communication and organisational skills are essential attributes.
