This post will be part-time - 22.2 hours per week

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Technician for the Institute of Education, to join the Faculty’s multi-functional Technical Team, providing generic and specialist support to both staff and students. With demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in a Science/ Education environment you will be educated to HND/degree standard or equivalent, with qualifications in a Science or Education related subject. You will be confident in the use and instruction of basic science equipment and able to set up a classroom for a basic science experiments, with a thorough awareness of health and safety requirements.  You should be a flexible individual, willing to contribute to teamwork, confident to make decisions and work independently, whilst also seeking continuous professional development.

 

Given the nature of this work, you will need to demonstrate commitment to flexibility of working hours, as the post may involve evening work with the possibility of weekend working.  An enhanced DBS is required for this role.
