The Institute of Sport, within the Faculty of Education, Health and Well-being, is seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching to complement the current staff team within the Sports Institute. We have well-established relationships with several professional football clubs in the Region and the postholder will be expected to support these relationships. You will be required to teach and assess on the BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching Practice degrees (both generic and football-specific), potentially contribute to other sport programmes in the Institute and (after 12 months) act as Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching Practice (Football) degree. You will have a higher degree in an appropriate subject and experience of ‘performance’ coaching.

 

You will have the ability to contribute to degree and post-graduate level teaching in sports coaching, and have or be developing a research and consultancy profile. You should also demonstrate potential to contribute to the Institute’s income generation and outreach and development activities.
