Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Professor of Structural Design within the Department of Civil Engineering.

 

The School of Architecture & the Built Environment is an active and thriving area within the University with good industrial links and professionally accredited programmes delivered in the UK and overseas. Expansion of the School will coincide with the move to brand new, custom built facilities as part of the University’s ongoing £250M investment program. Civil Engineering is experiencing rapid growth and plans are in place to develop new courses including an integrated full time accredited MEng programme

 

You must be a Chartered member of the IStructE and preferably have a PhD in Structural Engineering and/or senior structural design experience. You will lead the development of the proposed new MEng Civil Engineering Course; and contribute to research and teaching across the School of Architecture and Built Environment’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Experience and expertise in course development and accreditation will be a distinct advantage.
