The Opportunity: 

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced academic with a passion for developing the next generation of prescribing pharmacists working in clinical practice? We are expanding our staffing base in growth areas and are looking for academic staff members to fill newly created positions to join our ambitious and friendly School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences; more specifically, you will lead the support required for our students and or our graduates so that they can thrive in their course and in their future career. 

The role involves support for the delivery of pharmacy education across the various professional programmes within the school, centring on the MPharm and Pharmacist Independent Prescribing courses. You will work flexibly across areas of expertise and development, supporting high quality teaching, learning and assessment to achieve excellent student outcomes. You will also be encouraged to participate in the development and delivery of innovative teaching, scholarship, and/or research within pharmacy disciplines. 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  •  GPhC registered pharmacist with practice experience
    • Ideally, in possession (or nearing completion) of a postgraduate diploma or above in clinical pharmacy or equivalent and/or a GPhC accredited independent prescribing qualification (or nearing completion of)
    • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to fairness, inclusivity and the promotion of equality and diversity
    • Enthusiasm, resilience, flexibility and adaptability
