Events Assistant
The University of Wolverhampton is seeking a talented, passionate and highly organised individual to join the External Engagement Directorate as an Events Assistant.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the coordination and successful delivery of an exciting and varied programme of events across the University. These include Open Days, business and stakeholder events, and other high profile corporate University events.
Reporting to the Events Manager, you will be part of the University’s Events Team within the External Engagement Directorate, which leads and delivers approximately sixty large scale corporate events each year, alongside hundreds of virtual events.
You will assist the Events Manager in delivering events with external partners, helping to raise the University’s profile and enhance its reputation. The role also involves advising University departments on event management best practice to ensure events are delivered to a consistently high standard.
About You
You will be an excellent event organiser with strong knowledge and experience of what contributes to delivering a successful event.
You will be driven, highly organised and customer focused, flexible and hard working, with a strong eye for detail. You will have excellent customer service and client management skills and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and competing demands from internal and external stakeholders.
You will place visitor experience at the heart of everything you do, working collaboratively with colleagues across the University to deliver engaging and well organised events.
You will remain calm under pressure, working closely with colleagues within External Engagement to ensure that supporting print, promotional and online materials are produced to a high standard and delivered to deadline.
