Cleaner - part time (11.23 hours per week)
The University Campus Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across university buildings, classrooms, offices, and communal areas including a sports centre. This is a manual and physically demanding role that involves a range of cleaning duties requiring attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a facilities team. You will be responsible for completing designated cleaning duties to the required standards set by management within time constraints set by opening hours of the campus. The position supports the university’s commitment to providing a positive and hygienic space for students, staff, and visitors.

The position covers cleaning in our Teaching & Admin Buildings.
The cleaner position for 14.23 hours per week is on a rotation basis as below:
Saturdays - 6am to 9am (3 hours paid at enhanced pay at time and half = 4.5 hours)
Sundays - 6am to 9am (3 hours paid at enhanced pay at time and half = 4.5 hours)
Mondays – 6am to 11.23am (5.23 hours)
Total 14.23 hours
Cleaning experience is essential and an aptitude for hard work, a willingness to learn how to use different equipment and flexible and adaptable approach. Customer service and a willingness to work with students and academic staff is paramount.
