AI and LegalTech Developer (KTP Associate)
Fixed Term 3 Year Contract
University of Wolverhampton is looking to appoint a high calibre MSc or PhD graduate as an AI and LegalTech Developer (KTP Associate).
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in collaboration with leading academics at University of Wolverhampton, to apply knowledge and technical innovation, delivered on site at the company.
The AI and LegalTech Developer should have a MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent. Significant industry experience in developing AI Solutions will be considered.
The Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP) is co-funded by a grant from Innovate UK and Smart Balustrades LTD. This KTP is an innovative collaboration between the business and University as they work to deliver benefits for the company, the university and the Associate.
Personal Training and Development Budget
The AI and LegalTech Developer (KTP Associate) will have access to a wide range of benefits including a personal development budget of £6,000 to upskill throughout the project. You will also have the opportunity to attend a fully funded residential course at Ashorne Hill, facilitated by Innovate UK.
You will be employed by University of Wolverhampton and seconded to work full-time onsite at Smart Balustrades Ltd to deliver the 36 month KTP project. Throughout this period they will have access to academic supervision from development plan, as well as the opportunity to be supervised by Zeeshan Pervez and his team who are leading academics in the field, in addition to mentoring from the KTP advisor from Innovate UK.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will work on:
- Delivering and embedding advanced AI capability through the development of a LLM enabled SaaS solution.
- Develop scalable data science and infrastructure for SaaS deployment.
- Combining expertise in GenAI and Web Development with analytical problem solving.
There will be the opportunity to interact with company staff, industrial partners, clients as well as University of Wolverhampton academics. The role will allow you to apply your knowledge to a commercial project, finding creative innovative solutions to industry problems.
