Aspire2Uni (A2U) is a targeted progressive programme for children and young people in the care system from Year 7 through Year 13 and beyond.

The aim of the programme is to guide, encourage, motivate and inform about the opportunities that are available to support them on their progressive journey. The University is working alongside the Virtual Schools in five West Midlands local authorities to enable the programme to be embedded into wider strategies for raising aspiration and progression.

A2U is a holistic programme and young people participate in a series of outreach days, mentoring and enrichment activities. Using the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) participants will be tracked throughout their educational journey and into Higher Education.

The Aspire2Uni Administrator you will provide proactive administrative support to the Aspire2Uni team. You will ensure that all administrative systems are in place for the effective running of individual projects and implement effective budget monitoring and audit requirements.

To organise and service meetings, events, contribute to the day-to-day administration of the team including raising and processing invoices and using the Agresso system accordingly. To provide an excellent level of customer service.

You will have administration and finance experience and have the ability to build and develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders especially the young people themselves and their carers. Support at all A2U events and some mentoring activity is an integral part of the role.
