The University of Wolverhampton holds a distinctive place within the higher education sector, and is one of the most successful modern universities, delivering excellence in teaching and research, widening access, and in business engagement. Having begun life nearly 190 years ago to enhance education and skill base of the workforce in what is today a major industrial conurbation, we have continued to fulfil and develop the role to meet the needs of the region we serve. Today as the ‘University of Opportunity’, the University of Wolverhampton is an integral part of economic growth and social change within the West Midlands and beyond.
The Business School is based in the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences and has a distinguished record of supporting people and organisations. We have extensive business networks and work collaboratively with a wide range of professional bodies and offer a portfolio of online courses, degree apprenticeships and partners. We work with organisations in the public and commercial sectors and we have particular expertise in the Health, Arts and Cultural industries. We work in Wolverhampton as well as in the West Midlands and nationally.
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the delivery and development of degree apprenticeship programmes in the Business School. We seek applications from individuals with experience of work based learning and business engagement with the ability to make a contribution to the development of our degree apprenticeship portfolio.
You will have a good first degree or equivalent, a Masters degree in a relevant subject and experience of teaching and course management in the higher education sector. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching. The Faculty has well established links with professional bodies, therefore membership and experience of working with relevant professional bodies would be an advantage.
