The Faculty of Science and Engineering is offering exciting internship opportunities for enthusiastic students or faculty alumni to join the renowned STEM response team. These posts will allow successful applicants to gain experience in outreach and public engagement, networking with external professionals, development of new partnerships with schools, colleges and community groups and to work directly with the Faculty’s Associate Professor for Engagement in STEM. You will also gain experience in the development of STEM based outreach projects and workshops, large event management and methods of science communication.

 

This 12 month position would best suit individuals who are passionate about their subject, teaching a STEM based subject and interested in gaining practical experience of public engagement and science communication and working with young people in the community to raise aspirations. You must be highly flexible, adaptable and creative to be a success in this fast-paced, physically demanding and exciting role.
