The Directorate of Student and Academic Services (DSAS) are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data analyst to manage its Student Insights Unit (SIU). SIU is tasked with analysing student data and collecting the views and opinions of students through their educational journey at the University. The SIU is responsible for supplying professional and academic departments with analytical results in regard of the effectiveness of current practices on student success.

This is a key management role responsible for federating and analysing student data from disparate systems to provide data-informed decision-support to university leadership. It involves leveraging complex data using advanced analysis techniques, such as predictive modelling, to support the university’s goals. You will provide accessible, action-oriented insights that lead to optimisation of current practices within DSAS but also across the university as a whole.

The role requires graduate-level aptitude for data science or equivalent experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate systems, procedures and processes are in place to effectively manage and administer all projects and surveys within agreed timescales. You will also have regular liaison with senior colleagues across the Directorate and the University to deliver services in support of enhancing student experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a data-led approach across the university’s student and academic support functions. This role will champion the use of data analytics across all student support related functions but also wider within the university.
