WLV Sport is part of the Institute of Human Sciences situated in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing and provides physical activity and sports provision for students, staff and the local community on behalf of the University of Wolverhampton


WLV Sport delivers a comprehensive sports programme to students, staff and community which spans participation, competition and elite sport. The University also participates in the British Universities and Colleges Sports programme to which we rank in the top 3 in the UK for Judo.


We are seeking to appoint a Performance Coach to deliver coaching and support for a variety of services as part of WLV Judo programme. The Performance Coach will work under the remit of the Head of Judo and will deliver the technical and tactical aspects of the coaching programme. Furthermore, the performance coaches will prepare students for the national BUCS championships and offer coaching support at events, as and where required.


Ideally, you will have experience in delivering the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) and will support the delivery of the BJA performance pathway for 14-18 year olds including aspects of the England judo programme of which the University is currently a performance pathway centre.
