WLV Sport is part of the Institute of Human Sciences situated in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing and provides physical activity and sports provision for students, staff and the local community on behalf of the University of Wolverhampton.

A key strategic aim of WLV Sport is to provide work based opportunities for students to further enhance their future careers. It is our ambitious target that our sporting programmes including; social and intra mural sport, BUCS and national league competitions will be underpinned by our own student workforce in the next three years. In doing so, we require a passionate individual to create and implement a WLV Sports Workforce Hub model that delivers on our ambitious targets. The hub will be strengthened by local and national partners including the development of relationships with National Governing Bodies and supported by their relevant workforce strands.

This role spans the department of sport including both academic and sports provision. Liaising with internal and external colleagues, you will work to provide sports based work placements and opportunities as part of academic courses and as additional experiences for students. Working closely with department heads, you will build a programme of workforce opportunity associated to the academic course provision including; work based placements, sandwich year placements and opportunities to volunteer, coach, officiate and gain experience in sports event delivery.

Communication, relationship building, teamwork and empathy towards students are all key features to this role. You will become part of and contribute to a newly established sports development team within WLV Sport and will gain access to exciting opportunities across the organisation.
