Lecturer in Drama
Temporary post until 31st May 2021 to cover a period of maternity leave
The School of Performing Arts at the University of Wolverhampton is seeking to make a number of fixed term appointments (to cover staff maternity leave) to support its core provision. Housed in the state-of-the-art Performance Hub on our Walsall campus, the School offers a wide portfolio of courses and has strong links with industry. We are committed to providing an excellent student experience and suitable candidates will be expected to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for teaching, with the desire to support students to fulfil their potential and realise their career ambitions.
We are seeking to recruit a full-time lecturer to work within the Drama and Acting team.
You will possess a Masters degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent. You will be an excellent teacher with a higher education teaching qualification and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
You will have knowledge and experience of higher education teaching in Drama, able to deliver modules in the following areas; performance skills, working with challenging texts, creating performance, critical analysis and contemporary performance. You will also be expected to supervise Project students.
Working collaboratively with subject colleagues, you will possess a passion for the subject and a clear commitment to supporting students.
