Aspire2Uni (A2U) is a targeted progressive programme for children and young people in the care system from Year 7 through Year 13 and beyond. The aim of the programme is to guide, encourage, motivate and inform about the opportunities that are available to support them on their progressive journey. The University is working alongside the Virtual Schools in four West Midland Local Authorities to enable the programme to be embedded into wider strategies for raising aspiration and progression. A2U is a holistic programme and young people participate in a series of outreach days, mentoring and enrichment activities. Using the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) participants will be tracked throughout their educational journey and into Higher Education.

The Aspire2Uni Participation Officer will be a member of the Aspire2Uni team and will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective systems for collating tracking and monitoring activity on the programme using qualitative and quantitative data to evidence impact.  Furthermore, you will lead on all marketing and communication, as well as, enrichment activities including Children’s University ensuring there is effective participation from all cohorts.

You will have data and marketing experience and have the ability to build and develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders especially the young people themselves.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a driven and creative team which strives to make a real difference to the future of children and young people in care.
