Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry
You will have a B.Sc. or Masters degree in pharmacy, chemistry or pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry or equivalent and a Ph.D. in an area relevant to medicinal chemistry.
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be required: organic synthesis, analytical techniques for molecular characterisation and/or drug analysis, drug discovery and design, formulation science, dosage-form design, drug delivery systems.
You should be highly enthusiastic to pursue and develop a career in an academia and be capable of contributing to the full remit of work within an academic school including development and delivery of course material. You will demonstrate clear ability for both independent and collaborative working, and will have the potential for academic leadership. You will be competent in the use of modern IT systems and possess effective and high-level both written and oral communication skills. You will have a record of research and publication, or demonstrate the potential to develop research activity appropriate to the research strengths of the School and Faculty, or alternatively industrial/commercial success in competitive markets.
