The Chemical Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton has a dynamic commitment to high quality research projects, reflected both in the focus of the Faculty’s research strategy, and in the University’s successful funding from different funding streams. We are seeking an Innovate UK funded Research Assistant to fill a 1.5 year fixed term post at 0.5 FTE. The post offers an exciting opportunity for an outstanding researcher to support Chemical Engineering in its research activity in recalcitrant material recycling. You will work as part of the Chemical Engineering research team and be responsible for dissolution studies and material preprocessing as part of an academic and industrial consortium to develop a novel recycling methodology to recover valuable molecules from waste industrial materials. The post will also extend into process design and specification for a pilot facility to be built by the industrial partner You will hold or be writing up for a PhD in either chemistry, physics or chemical engineering.
