The University of Wolverhampton has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to deliver a ‘Composites and Additive Layer Materials Engineering Research and Innovation Centre’ (CALMERIC), alongside our School of Engineering on the Telford Innovation Campus. The CALMERIC project supports small companies (SMEs) based within the Shropshire and Staffordshire counties to carry out research and innovation projects in the field of advanced engineering materials, in collaboration with specialist staff and resources in the Centre.


The Senior Engineering Technician will be responsible for supporting research and innovation activities in the CALMERIC centre, under the supervision of specialist senior technical and academic staff within the School of Engineering.  You will carry out/support research work that enables the SMEs to develop products that incorporate advanced materials and will also assist graduate interns, Postdoc researcher and academic leads in carrying out industrial relevant projects.


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual keen to embark on a research technician career and with particular interest or experience of Materials and Manufacturing Engineering Research.
