Practice Educator in Pre-registration Nursing
We are seeking candidates for the role of practice educator to contribute primarily to the provision of our pre-registration nursing programmes. You will educated to degree level or equivalent and will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse (RN). You will provide support to academic staff in the delivery of teaching with an emphasis on skills and simulation, including mandatory training and medicines management.

The Institute of Health includes a wide range of professionally qualifying health care courses. We are expanding on our newly developed skills centres to offer hands-on teaching of nursing and healthcare professions skills through a comprehensive range of state of the art equipment.
You will provide support for student learning and will assist academic staff in teaching, assessment and the development of learning support materials. You will nurture, supervise and guide students learning in the practice environment, seeking out innovative opportunities for learning to enhance the student experience. You will have a commitment to engaging with the practice environment and maintain up to date knowledge and skills relevant to nursing practice; in order to deliver a dynamic, responsive curriculum. Enthusiasm for teaching and development of learners is a fundamental aspect of the role both in practice and in laboratory learning.
The roles may require cross-campus working at Wolverhampton, Telford, Walsall and Burton campuses or delivery off-campus in employer locations.
