Research Support Worker (disability-related barriers)
This post is part-time, temporary until 30th April 2021
Hours: Variable, maximum 10 hours per week.
Required to provide support to a Senior Researcher on a project that he initiated and leads, called ‘Disability-related barriers to obtaining academic employment’ (described at http://cybermetrics.wlv.ac.uk/disabilitysurvey.htmll).
This post is focused on the topic of disability. The research assistance is likely to include writing literature reviews, processing and coding research findings, proof-reading academic letters and articles, and forming suitable PowerPoint slides. The work will mainly be home-based at a time of your convenience, but you will also be expected to attend the occasional face-to-face meetings in London or Wolverhampton. You should have a Ph.D. or Masters degree in an appropriate subject, previous experience of carrying out research projects, in particular online research, experience of handling and presenting data for publication and presentation, excellent command of written and oral English, ability to interpret research data and written publications, with attention to detail.
