Senior Lecturer in Philosophy
This post is part-time 0.5fte
The School of Humanities is seeking to appoint a permanent part time 0.5 Senior Lecturer in Philosophy. Applications will be welcomed across a wide range of specialisms within the field, though expertise in the following areas will be an advantage: non-European philosophy, contemporary critical theory.
You should hold a PhD in Philosophy or equivalent, with good publications and a strong research plan for the future, contributing to the School’s research profile and specifically to its 2021 REF submission. You will be able to demonstrate excellent pedagogic skills and the ability to teach widely within the Philosophy programme and provide academic leadership by job-sharing the role of course leader within that portfolio. You will be ready to play an active role in the ongoing development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including PhD supervision, and participate fully in curriculum design. We are also interested in hearing from candidates who have contributed to outreach activities.
