The University of Wolverhampton Business School is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management with the ability to make a substantial contribution to our Tourism Management programme that is part of our suite of Leisure courses.

 

Tourism Management is located in the Department of Marketing, Innovation, Leisure and Enterprise which is a large interdisciplinary unit which constitutes a rich and diverse range of academic disciplines, including popular degrees in Marketing, Events and Festivals and Hospitality.

 

The University of Wolverhampton Business School is based in the Faculty of Social Sciences and has a distinguished history of supporting business. Established for over 80 years, we have supported the development of leaders, managers and organisations. We were one of the first business schools in the country to offer MBA programmes, coaching and mentoring qualifications and we have a tradition of innovation in developing courses which meet the needs of business. Our students benefit from outstanding teaching, learning, assessment and feedback within a responsive, supportive and inclusive environment leading to graduate level employment.

 

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the delivery and development of Tourism Management and the Leisure suite of courses. Experience of course leadership, curriculum development and review would be an advantage.

 

You will have a good first degree or equivalent, a Masters degree in a relevant subject and experience of teaching and course management in the higher education sector. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching. The Faculty has well established links with professional bodies, therefore membership and experience of working with relevant professional bodies would be an advantage.
