Temporary post until 31st December 2021

An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join the award winning built environment team within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton. With 23,000 students, the University holds an excellent quality teaching profile, with a strong performance in third stream income generation and a world class research excellence profile. The university holds a strong track record of working with regional, national and international businesses, and this project is part of a collective group of ERDF funded projects that supports business growth across the Black Country and beyond.

SaCFRIC is a £1.4million ERDF contract which will be managed within the School of Architecture and the Built Environment.  It will support the development of a research hub around Construction Futures expertise, and support 35 SME’s in the Black Country by offering access to university knowledge and research. The project will offer support and advice to grow local businesses through working with the Centre.

The Administrators role is to provide a professional administrative service to the project and the team working on the project.  You will be expected to support the project manager to assemble financial and reporting information for meetings, and also to support the promotion of the project by helping organise, and occasionally attending, project events.  You will be expected to work with other services within the university, including Finance and the Project Support Office.

The work will involve dealing with external enquiries to the project, monitoring progress of companies through the project, keeping records, preparation of financial reports, as well as general administrative duties.  It would be preferable if you have worked on an ERDF projects before – but not essential as guidance can be given.

For informal discussions regarding the post contact Julie Lappin Business Development Manager, (01902 321655, j.lappin@wlv.ac.uk).

The University of Wolverhampton values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
