Project Administrator – Environmental Technologies and Resource Efficiency Support Service (ENTRESS)

An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning architecture and built environment team within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton. Acknowledged as one of the largest universities in the UK, with 23,000 students, the University holds an excellent quality teaching profile, with a strong performance in third stream income generation and a world class research excellence profile. The university holds a strong track record of working with regional, national and international businesses, and this project is part of a collective group of ERDF projects that supports business growth across the Black Country and beyond.

ENTRESS is a £1.2 million ERDF contract which is managed within the School of Architecture and Built Environment.  It supports the development of SMEs in the Black Country by offering expert advice to grow their businesses through specialist workshops, individual support, product assessment, technology showcases and industrial challenges – all linked to resource efficiency and environmental technologies.

The Administrators role is to provide a professional administrative service to the project and the team working on the project.  You will be expected to support the project manager to assemble financial information, and also to support the promotion of the project with occasional attendance at events.  You will be expected to work with academics in the Faculty and other services within the university, including Finance, External Relations and the Project Support Office.

The work will involve dealing with external enquiries to the project, monitoring progress of companies through the project, keeping records, preparation of financial reports, as well as general administrative duties.  It would be preferable if you have worked on an ERDF projects before – but not essential as guidance can be given.
