The University of Wolverhampton’s Centre for Sikh and Panjabi Studies (launched in March 2018) is the first of its kind in the UK, founded in the home of the second largest UK-based Sikh population. It’s these families – and the local organisations that work together to support them – as well as the wider community that make Wolverhampton the ideal place to create the Centre.

We are now seeking to employ an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work independently and under their own initiative to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of the Centre for Sikh and Panjabi Studies.

You will be educated to a good standard of general education up to and including A Level or equivalent. You will be expected to demonstrate evidence of experience including general administration, proficiency in using office technology including word processing, presentation software, databases, spreadsheets, email and the internet. An excellent standard of literacy and numeracy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are prerequisites of this role.  Personal attributes include a proactive and professional approach, good organisational capabilities, ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to work under pressure.  You will also need to be experienced in applying for funding.
