Project and Funding Administrator
This post is covering a 14 month multiple Maternity leave period
To provide project support in respect of externally funded projects to the Research Group in Computational Linguistics. You will monitor on-going projects in terms of progress, deliverables and expenditures, support the writing of new project proposals, offer the latest information on funding opportunities from diverse sources, and assist Principal Investigators of projects and other members of the Research Group as required.
You should have experience of writing various reports and documents, of monitoring project progress, of recording and monitoring financial information, of monitoring project finances, and of bid preparation. You should also have knowledge of funding sources and opportunities.
Experience of working in or with commercial organisations would be desirable. You will have exceptional English speaking skills and a high level of written english with good communication skills (preferably to include foreign language skills as the you will work in a dynamic international environment). English revision skills are desirable. You will need to be well-organised, able to meet deadlines and to work with minimal supervision. You should be able to work in a flexible manner (including outside of standard office hours) and under pressure. Some European travel may be required.
