A vacancy exists at the University of Wolverhampton for an enthusiastic person to join Facilities & Support Services in the role of Day Security Supervisor.
You will be responsible for leading a team ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors throughout the campus and other University premises. You will supervise a team whose duties will include static guarding, foot and mobile patrols, incident response and control room operation. With previous security and supervisory experience, preferably gained in the security industry or with the police/military, you will hold a current clean driving licence.
You must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor and Public Surveillance Licence and have good verbal and written communication skills. In addition you will have the ability to negotiate with and influence others and to deal with issues of confidentiality and sensitive situations in a constructive and empathetic way. Experience of both the public and private sector is desirable.
You will be working an A3 shift pattern which consists of 3 mornings, 3 afternoons 3 days off with annualised hours of 37 per week. Please note you will be working at all the University Campuses and premises.
